چکیده
Abstract Distributed e-Infrastructure is a key component of modern BIG Science. Service discovery in e-Science environments, such as Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG), crucial functionality that relies on service registry. In this paper we re-formulate the requirements for endpoint registry based our more than 10 years experience with many systems designed or used within WLCG e-Infrastructure. To satisfy those proposes novel idea to use existing well-established Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure together suitable data model The presented ARC Hierarchical Endpoints Registry (ARCHERY) system consists minimalistic representing services and their endpoints e-Infrastructures, rendering embedded into DNS-records, lightweight software layer DNS-record management client-side discovery. Our approach ARCHERY required minimal development inherits all benefits one most reliable distributed information source internet, DNS infrastructure. particular, deployment, operation fully relying DNS. Results deployment use-cases are provided performance analysis.

Denial of Service on SIP VoIP Infrastructures Using DNS Flooding
A simple yet effective Denial of Service (DoS) attack on SIP servers is to flood the server with requests addressed at irresolvable domain names. In this thesis we evaluate different possibilities to mitigate these effects and show that over-provisioning is not sufficient to handle such attacks. As a more effective approach we present a solution called the DNS cache solution based on the usage ...
متن کاملAnalysis and Rating of QoS Approaches for E-Service Infrastructures
Implementing e-services successfully requires an adequate service infrastructure which delivers a solid base for reliable services. A major part of this service infrastructure is the transport infrastructure which e.g. constitutes the Internet. This transport infrastructure is responsible for delivering a reliable end to end transport service with different service levels which is a prerequisit...
متن کاملSecurity for Distributed E-Service Composition
Current developments show that tomorrow’s information systems and applications will no longer be based on monolithic architectures that encompass all the functionality. Rather, the emerging need for distribution and quick adaptation to new requirements stemming from, e.g., virtual enterprises, demands distributed systems that can be extended dynamically to compose new services from existing sof...
متن کاملSOA Security - as a Service Automatic Conversion in Distributed Infrastructures
Supply of software services according to SaaS concepts may be efficiently realized with SOA technology. The necessity of security mechanisms is undisputable and companies are confronted with the challenge to adapt and enhance the existing security infrastructure to “SOA-ready.” Within this presentation an automated security solution will be introduced, which, following the SaaS concept, realize...
متن کاملDistributed policy processing in active-service based infrastructures
More and more applications in the Internet are requiring an intelligent service infrastructure to provide customized services. In this paper, we present an infrastructure, which can transparently and effectively provide customized active-services to end users and dynamically adapt to changing customized policies in large distributed heterogeneous environments. The infrastructure consists of two...
